Tallahatchie Co., Marriage License #329 shows J. E. Dickey m. Lottie V. Roberts on May 24, 1905. I have information that J. E. Dickey left a will (I have not seen a copy) and in that will he mentions children by his first wife (unnamed); his wife: Lottie Dickey and children: EDWARD, ALASBERRY, DAN LAFAYETTE, AND BEATRICE DICKEY. On Feb 16 1913, Miss Lottie Dickey m. R. A. Henson, Tallahatchie Co. Marriage Bk 8. We have reason to believe that Lottie and R. A. had children named Roy and Richard and perhaps other children. Any info regarding these families will be much appreciated. I believe these were microfilmed by the MS Dept of Archives & History. At one time, they sold them, but when I purchased the eight roll list covering the years 1912-1924 (through contributions from some generous folks--except for the first roll, which I bought myself from MDAH about 3 years ago), MDAH now has most of their film copying done by another company, in this case, Underground Vaults & Storage, Hutchinson, KS. These were ordered Apr 2000 at $48 per roll and were received about six weeks later. Lisa, MS officially began recording births and deaths Nov 1912. If he died before Nov 1912, he won't be on the MS DC Index. I have a microfilm copy of the index for 1912-1943. If you think they could have died after Oct 1912, I can check the first roll (1912-1924). Dear list, this is a horribly vague request, but it's all I have. I'm looking for a Cornelia Anderson who married a P. A. Broutin (he was a Frenchman). This is according to Cornelia's brother, Willliam Wesley Anderson. In 1901, William said he thought his sister was living in Winona, Mississippi. Cornelia was probably born in or near Chester, Randolph County, Illinois. I do not know when she was born, possibly around 1838. I have no other information about the Broutins. Any information will be received with joy. Thank you for helping. Jo Anna Dale <jdale@swbell.net>
Just wanted to let everybody know that I have been updating the page. If you have a link that you would like to add LMK. It is far from complete. Because the server that I was using for the message board and guest book stopped offering free services I had to switch over to another server. I did keep everyone's ancestors in the guestbook though.
