    1. [MISSISSIPPI] CAMPBELL's/CARTER's
    2. Sharla Linex-Johnson
    3. Hello Mississippi Researchers, I have been a member of this list for quite some time but have never posted.. I am looking for CAMPBELL's/CARTER's in the areas of Amite, Adams, and Franklin Counties in early 1800's. I descend through Charles C. CAMPBELL who married Selah CARTER Sept. 1, 1813 Natchez, Adams CO. MS. I have nothing past Charles. I do have Vinson/Vincent CARTER believed to be the Father of Selah. According to court transcripts Vincent cultivated land on the day that Spanish Troops Evacuted... therefore obtaining a land grant of 640 acres in Adams CO., I'm assuming a part of which became Franklin CO. due to the fact they are in the Franklin CO. census in 1820. If there is anyone out here researching either of these families, I'd certainly love to hear from you... Thank you for your time, Sharla Linex
