Another easy way is to find a siblings birth/death certificate... I sent for my paternal g/m's death cert...her youngest son, gave the information...which was all wrong! My g/m had a brother that my father gave the information for and I got at least one correct name, my dad didn't know the mother's name, but knew the father's...so with that and census I pieced the puzzle together and got the correct info.... Hi, Does anyone have access to or know where I can get access to marriage records/database for Leake County around 1886? Thanks, Belvery
My Routh database turned up the following list Mississippi Rouths 1. Routh Sr., Stephen Minor, born in Natchez, Adam Co., MS, in 1808 2. Routh, Sarah, born 1803 in Natchez 3. Routh, John, born 18 Aug 1795, in Natchez 4. Routh, Isaac Johnson, born circa 1805 in Natchez 5. Routh, Ann, born 1799 in Natchez, 6. Routh, Caroline, born 1797 in Natchez 7. Routh, Elizabeth, born 1793-1794, in Natchez 8. Routh, Francis/Frank, born 1810, in Natchez 9. Routh, Mary Magdalene , born 1810, in Natchez I am kin to these Rouths, but not researching them specifically, as mine ended up in Fayette Co., Texas, without apparently ever putting foot in Mississippi. I didn't work out how the nine Rouths listed are connected to each other, beyond having, like me, William Routh (possibly of Yorkshire, England, like his wife, Agnes Metcalfe) as a common ancestor. If it would be of help, I can put those researching Mississippi Rouths in touch with a generous-of-spirit Routh researcher in Texas. He's my main source on the Rouths and might well know more on Mississippi Rouths. I can also provide the gedcom that holds these Rouths and 400 of their Routh kin. Best regards, PK Murphy in Toronto, Ontario, Canada
