    3. Yes, Kathy this information helps, it is more promising to know there is a prison historian office in Parchman. This will be great to see what I can obtain. I did email the Dept of Corrections in FL for my Great Uncle Lacy Easter prison records, they emailed their FL Prison Inmate List of all inmates with their id# and their time of service (came in and went out). I still have to write the county office or archives in that state for intimate details of the file, if i chose too, again thanks! 2. Parchman State prison is still in existence although the location is different from in the 1800's. There are prison yearbooks (that have a lot of info ) at the State Archives at Jackson MS and they date well back into the 1800s. If you call information for Parchman and call the prison you will find they have a prison historian office. I spoke to the gentlemen in charge of that office about 5 years ago, I do not remember his name. Hope this helps. Kathy

    3. I am sorry--I forgot to tell you the important thing--details of what your relative was in prison for in 1930 will be in the Circuit Court Records of the county from which he was found guilty and sent to prison. In 1930 there will be very little about this in his prison file--as a rule anyway. I would imagine there is an archive in MS, maybe someone knows and where it is. If so just write to them and see if they can get you the information. It was a very small fee was what they charged for it for me here. good luck, Gladys
