I am looking for any information on Lemuel Purdy, found him in 1820 census at Parkman, Geauga county, Ohio. Than in 1840 census, I found him in Bennington, Shiawassee county, Michigan. The next year he was no where to be found. Of course he disappeared before 1850, so I couldn't read the names of his children. I don't know what age he is, and don't even know where he was born. But what I do know is that he had several children, and I believe one of them was my husbands great-grandfather. This has been my brick wall for several years now. I kind of believe he died some time after 1844 in Michigan , there were quite a few children, maybe split up among relatives. He was in Shiawassee with two other Purdy's, a Archibald, and Josiah. Lemuel was partners with Josiah on a plot of land. Thought I would try again, to see if any new information is available. Thank you for listening to me again. Sully
