Last week I found the gravesites of 5 ancestors at Durfey Cemetery (3) and Pinetree, west addition. One great great grandfather, Philander Gleason, at Durfey, served in the Civil War, Michigan Cavalry, 6th regiment, but was no flag or marker to indicate his service. Is there anything I can do about this? Also at Pinetree, another great great grandfather, Martin T Brown, had a metal marker stuck between his and his daughter Myrtle's headstones (stones are very close together). It had a bird with a leafy branch in his mouth (Dove?) at the top, and what looked like 3 chain links connected to each other horizontally below the bird. This marker was gray in color, and about 18 inches high. I wondered if anyone knew anything about this kind of marker. Any reply about these 2 topics would be very much appreciated.....Judy Gleason
