Hi, You aren't going to believe this, but I think I have pictures of your Rockwells! I live in Elsie, Michigan. I have the family album of my great grandparents who lived in Fairfield Township. I immediately, upon reading your request, remembered the Rockwell pictures. I do not know if or how they are related to my family, but they are in the family album. If you will send me your personal e-mail address, I will be happy to e-mail them to you as an attachment. I'm not sure that I can send a picture attachment through Roots. In rereading your e-mail, I notice that you list a Lydia Linman. My son-in-law's mother was a Linman. The Linmans were among the early settlers in Elsie. I have some information on that family in my family tree, but I don't have a Lydia. I do have a Albert D. Linman, who was born March 23, 1840 and died in January, 1908 in Elsie. His wife was Mary J. Batchelor, born 1841 and died May 24, 1916 at her home in Elsie. They had 7 children: son -- name, birth and death unknown son -- Harry, born: December 11, 1867 and died: 1938 daughter -- Eva L., born: July 31, 1876 in Duplain Township, Clinton County, MI, died: January 31, 1876 in Duplain Township ( Elsie is in Duplain Township. Elsie is only a mile from Fairfield Township.) daughter -- name, birth, and death unknown " " " " " " " " " " " " " " " " " " Lydia Linman may have been one of the unknown daughters of Albert and Mary, but I have no proof of this. Just a hunch. Looks like she would be about the right age to have married Elwin. I'm so intrigued by all of this that I'm going to go up to the Elsie Historical Room when I send this and see if I can find anything more on the subject. The room is closed today, but I have a key. I'll let you know if I find out anything. Leota Kajdas
