That is my next step, checking the Owosso library and the Clinton County Historical Archives. I have already been to the Shiawasse Courthouse and checked records there as well as the Jennings Lyons Funeral Home who buried many of the family. I have also gotten as much information as possible from the keeper of the records for Greenwood Cemetery in Vernon where many are buried. I have also checked all the census records for 1840 - 1930. The children of Jerome and Eliza are: John M Sawyer 1847 - 1928 Wright C. Sawyer 1849 - 1928 Jerome R. Sawyer 1852 - ? Franklin (Frank) Sawyer 1854 - 1924 Gilbert Hicks Sawyer 1858 - 1941 Eliza Sawyer Mary "Carrie" Sawyer 1960 Thomas Sawyer 1862 - 1940 Annie "Amy" Sawyer 1872 - They all lived in or near Elsie and Ovid. There was even a Sawyer School. One of the girls married a Litchfield. One married a Darling. One married a Loynes. Two Sawyers married two Loynes. Perhaps the library in Owosso can help me.
