I have to ask you about your Curtis family, Vernon. My William Thompson Curtis moved from Madison NY to Genoa MI about 1825 or 30. There was a long line of Joseph Curtis men before him. Nancy

My ggrandfather, Lyman Curtis and wife Rachael Chrispell Curtis came to Michigan c 1836 and lived in several counties Shiawassee, Livingston, Washtenaw, Montcalm. I believe they followed her parents out there. They had five children one of whom may have died at birth. The others are Leonard b 1835 Onondaga Co. NY, Andrew b 1838 Washtenaw Co. MI, Chauncey b 1842/43 Livingston Co MI and Edwin (my grandfather) 1848 Montcalm Co. MI. I have never be able to find anything on Lyman's parents. As far as I know Joseph Curtis isn't in my line.
