Kathy, My dad's name was Fred Krauth, his brothers were Frank and Stanley. Dad was born Oct 1890. I have a book I bought in Owosso, Echoes of Yesteryears" Shiawassee County Schools and Fairfield & Rush townships 1837-1987. There is a picture of "Souvenir of Winter 1897. First graders were Freddie Krauth, Roy Allen and Robbie Rourke. Isn;t that cool?? Charlie Rourke was a 4th grader. Leslie Allen and John Rourke, and Frank Krauth were 6th graders. I think there is a picture of the children standing in front of the school, but right now I can't find it. I have to go downtown soon, it has quit snowing, this is our first big snow for this winter 3-4". Remind me to look in my dad's pictures, in case I forget. Uncle Frank's youngest son Glen died in Georgia right after thanksgiving, he was 80, I don't know if he would have known yur Allens an Rourkes. Maria in Montana > I have a census of a Roy M. Maria, I must have made an error. Roy was born July 1891 not 1881. I couldnt figure out how someone 10 years older would still be in the first grade. Robbie Rouke would have been the son of Martin Rourke and the grandson of Patrick Rourke. Patrick Rourke and my Michael Rourke were brothers. Leslie Allen and Roy Allen were brothers. Thanks for the information. Kathy Maria <mminear11@mcn.net> wrote: Kathy, My dad's name was Fred Krauth, his brothers were Frank and Stanley. Dad was born Oct 1890.
