I am looking for the marriage record of a Ella Curtis to Daniel Hartwick. It would be between 1915 to 1918. Is anyone going to the court house. I am looking for the birthdate or family of Ella Marie CURTIS who as family lore states was born in Ososso @ 1899. She later married Daniel Hartwick and lived in Ingham County MI. Any help would be appreciated as I am told you cant look at birth records in MI unless they are 110 years old. Is there anyone willing to take a "peek" for me and find her date of birth and parents names. Carol
Folks I bought a picture of Hopalong Cassidy aka William Boyd (my relative) from "Brothers and Sisters Antiques" on North Dort Highway near Clio, Michigan. I paid $16.00 for the piece and it was a fake, a cheap color copy made on a color copier, I think. They wouldn't return my money--I didn't really think people would cheat to make a paltry $16.00 but I was wrong. Does Michigan have a library where one can order copies of local newspapers thru interlibrary loan? I am trying to locate the obits for Wendell & wife Lucille Brooks. Wendell died in Oct of 1982 in Corunna, MI. Ralph Biddle from OK
Hi, I am new to you list. My ggg g'ma died in 1901 in Chippewa Co., MI. Her death certificate states that she was buried in Scribner. The only Scribner Cemetary I can find in Michigan is in Shiawassee Co., which is a half of a state away! [It might have been in Canada, so I'm checking there as well.] If someone has a cemetary transcription for Scribner Road Cemetary, could you see if a Jane (ROBINSON, perhaps ROBERTSON) McKECHNIE (1828 or 1830 to 1901) is buried there? She may have had some McKECHNIE children living in the area. Are there any McKECHNIE researchers in the county? Thanks, Bonnie http://www.familytreemaker.com/users/b/u/t/Bonnie-Ferguson-Butler/

Hello Listers, This is my first time submitting to this list. My husband's family is from St. Charles and I know they lived and died there, but can't find them. A friend suggested I try Shiawasee County since it's close to St. Charles. I'm looking for: Benjamin PRICE 1828-1909 (I think) and wife Sarah BEEDLE 1835-1870. Carl SHEPAN 1825-1907 Augusta 1827-1880 Archibald MANCHESTER b. 1829 d. in or after 1875 Savilla PARKER b. 1836 d. after 1910 (Married William McBeth in 1875) If anyone know anything about these families, I'd love to hear from you. Thanks in advance. Sue Schroeder ABQ
Folks I have an old German Bible (in German) (Die Bibel) dated 1909. It has a picture of Martin Luther with his autograph just below. It was published in Milwaukee, Wisconsin at Northwestern Publishing House. It is Leather bound, with embossed gilded cross and floral decoration and gilded pages and has a tassle book marker. The bible is in excellant, near perfect condition, even the tassle book marker, and has a leather carrying case, perhaps the reason it is in such good condition. The Bible is printed entirely in German. The bible also has a pressed 4 leaf clover in it. I haven't found any family genealogy data in it but it is signed Mr. and Mrs. George E. Kuehn January 19, 1909 and a postcard is in the book addressed to George E. Kuehn with a Saginaw, Michigan (city) address. This address looks like it is crossed out and an address in Flushing is penciled in. Also a hand painted picture of a bluebird with notation "For Edwin Pickelman" in pencil. Postcard is dated Sept 9, 1970 or 1971 and is a notice about Local 699 Union meetings. I would like to get this back into the possession of a descendent (with proof) of George E. Kuehn for my cost and postage. Richard G. Boyd New and Used Genealogy Books

Hoping someone can provide information regarding the birth family of Sylvanus Wood. According to a marriage license from the late 1800s, Sylvanus was the son of Edward and Helen Wood of Shiawassee County, MI. What happened to his parents? Why did he come to Illinois to live with Hiram D. Wood? What was his relationship to Hiram? Were there any siblings? Thank you for any assistance you can provide. [email protected]
Always type out the month in dates. Like this 6 June 1970 or June 6, 1970. Reason: In Europe they put the day first so... 8/12/1843 would be 8 Dec 1843 instead of 12 August 1843. R G Boyd
I am looking for a John Parkinson who came from Ohio, I know there is a Jehu in the same county, Pine River twp. but that must be a relative, not the one I'm looking for. John had a daughter Mary born 8/13/1843 in Ohio, that married Walter Graham 3/30/1865 in Gratiot County, and died 7/20/1918 I believe in Gratiot County. John's wife I think was named Hannah or Hattie. John came originally from Pennsylvania.. Bonnie
