That is confirmed in the census records as I can find Bert without the children (but can't find the children). When I was at the Shiawassee County Clerks office I asked about what record regarding the children there might be and was directed to the office that contains the probate records. Unfortunately, that office had no such records for the family. My question is: Where do I search now? I'd really like to find out what happened with the kids after their mother died.     3. Sorry, spelling should have been Barrows on Franklin, also. My father Gaylord Wayne Barrows, b. June 27, 1916 eighth child of Franklin E Barows, b. 1877 of Rush Township and Carry L Wood b. 1879, of Rush Twsp. That is the way her name is spelled on the birth certificate.
