Can you direct me to a site where I can find out how to email MISHIAWA members? If I start guessing, I might do it wrong. Ray Papa
I think the Gardner-Rann marriage took place about 1874 in Shiawassee County. If anyone has access to the marriage records, would you please tell me what is listed for them. Thank you very much for your help. Mildred Greenstreet
Sometime ago I picked up a bible at a secondhand store. The names in it are: Jenkins-Sagemiller-Clark-Hoffman-Morrell-Watson-Newman- Slee-Jaquett-Brown The bible was owned by Dina Smith dated August 22, 1954. It has dates for the above people. If anyone is interested, I can send them scans of the pages. ===== www.willett.org RAOGK Volunteer, Michigan Stedman.Willett.Lindsey.Fleming.Harman.Patton.Tereau.Hesch __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Hello, I am looking for someone living in Shiawassee County who might be willing to do a lookup at the county clerk's office. I would love to find the death record for a Washington Davis...I am fairly certain he was born about 1819 in the state of New York, he shows up in the (2nd ward Owosso) Perry, Shiawassee Co. MI 1880 census with wife Angeline, sons Horton and Samuel. Most likely he died after 1900, but I am not certain of that. I know that his son Samuel died in 1912, buried Oak Hill, and the obituary does not mention being survived by parents. Thank you in advance to anyone who has the time or inclination to do this! Kathy in Missouri

Purchased a baby book in a "recyclable store" today - Hoping to find family it belongs to. Robert George Young born 5 Feb 1930 Durand Michigan Parents Clyde M and Marian E. Young. There are 3 wonderful photographs included in the little book - Robert George Young had an older brother Floyd Young. Perhaps born in 1920. One in particular shows Floyd holding his 4 month old son, Jimmie, and looking on are the grandfather (Clyde M. Young) and the great grandfather (unnamed!) 4 generations of the Youngs. If anyone knows any of these people - please write so I can get this book to someone in the family!!! I paid $5 for the book - that and postage is all I would like in return!! Sincerely, Nancy O. Anderson in upstate New York
Lorison James Taylor, my great grandfather, settled in Laingsburg MI, occupation farmer about 1865. He was married to Martha Wood (b. 06/24/1843, d.0 60/8/1932) on 02/22/1865 in Lodi MI by the Rev. E.W. Border. They had 3 children, Mary Louise (b.07/30/1866, d. 01/16/1952), Edward Irving (b. 04/28/1870, d. 03/21/1930), and Ina Pamela (b. 07/14/1876, d. ??). The 1880 census for Shiawassee County, village of Laingsburg lists the five of them. It also lists LJ's occupation as “furniture dealer”. He was elected to the State House of Representatives in 1873 & 75 and to the Senate in 1877. Am interested in any information regarding the family, particularly place of birth for the children. If there is any interest, I have a fair amount of information on this line. Thanks in advance Ed Taylor
