    1. Re: [MISHIAWA-L] Roll Call - Morton, Bugbee, Stoughton, Raynale, Slayton
    2. Julia Mosman
    3. Hello All - I'm researching the Morton family, from Royalton, New York to Franklin, Oakland Cty, Michigan, thence to Shiawassee - Owosso and Bennington. My Morton line married into the Bugbee line - two Bugbee brothers homesteaded farms in Shiawassee when the land was first opened to settlers. Dorus Morton was the first mason in Franklin, MI, and moved to Owosso circa 1839 according to land records. He lived with several of his children around the County until his death circa 1871-2. (His wife, Pluma Slayton Morton, died and is buried in Franklin.) Most of the family is buried in PineTree Cemetery, but there's no record of where Dorus was buried, unfortunately. If anyone else is interested in these family lines, please let me know! Julia Mosman
