Sorry, Sally, I do not find your particular names in my Owosso book. Nancy
It is more than just one map. It is several land plots and county designations on separate maps from the late 1800's to about 1910. You will need to compare them in detail to see the differences from period to period. I found my family trail through the changes by studying them. Then I received the final answers on Fairfield with a map given to me by (of all things!) a grave digger in the area when I visited the area on my search last summer. It took me several study periods to get the idea of all the line changes, but I did. I finally found the actual mortuary that buried my family. Not to get your hopes up, but if you want to study what I have, I will need to scan them and send them. Guess this is the great part of the mishiawa site. Hopefully, you can share some stuff about the area with me. ----- Original Message ----- From: Edward Zuellig<mailto:ez1@ejourney.com> To: mishiawa@rootsweb.com<mailto:mishiawa@rootsweb.com> Sent: Thursday, November 09, 2006 9:51 PM Subject: Re: [MISHIAWA] Jerome Sawyer 1810 - 18?? To answer Jack & Marianne Dibean, I have all the Placeways you mentioned having in your marriage data base except the first one you mentioned who was "ANN MARIAH PLACEWAY m MANLY - SMITH in LIVINGSTON cnty 04 MAR 1857". Where does she might fit in to the Placeway family. Eva
Karen, I don't find Kitty Gould in my book. There is a great deal about the Gould famille so I may have missed her. I don't find the Cummings family. Nancy
Thank you Nancy for the look up. Taunji Stites Waterman
Nancy, Would you kindly look up the Gould family for me. I am especially interested in Mary B. Gould who married Robert C. Campbell. Mary Gould was born in Scotland in 1826. I would like to know if Mary Gould Campbell had parents or siblings in Shawassee County, Michigan. Thanks for your efforts. Taunji Stites Waterman
There was a large Gould family in Owosso and I have tried to find Kitty but unable to locate her on several pages in my book. I do find Ebenezer Gould was m. to Irene H. Beach, daughter of Lucius Beach of Shia-town. and they had four children, Lucius, Mary, Abbie and Nellie. Nancy
How did you connect this family to Cummings? Kitty moved up North and much later divorced and remarried. Vern, Have you searched the Curtis books for Lyman? There are two good Curtis books, really sequels, as the second is written about 1939 by Harlow Curtis. Nancy
Margie, there is a small mention of your family in my book: THOME Edward N. THOME came to Owosso from St. Johns, MI where he and Levi Frisbie had a she store. In Owosso they located at 10571 Washington Street. He m. Miss Della Burkheiser of Jackson on Feb. 22, 1911. He had just bought the home of Colonel G. B. McCaughna at 503 E. Exchange St. Nancy The Tome children were Robert and Helen, both of whom graduated from St.l Paul's High School.
They are all relatives. I have them on my site: www.placeway.net/familytree I just was jumping on the bandwagon and was wondering what the Owosso book had on the Placeways. Jack, They are mine and I thank you. For John C. Clancey, his middle initial is actually A., for purposes of accuracy. And they were married in 1905. Appreciate it. My ggrandfather, Lyman Curtis and wife Rachael Chrispell Curtis came to Michigan c 1836 and lived in several counties Shiawassee, Livingston, Washtenaw, Montcalm. I believe they followed her parents out there. They had five children one of whom may have died at birth. The others are Leonard b 1835 Onondaga Co. NY, Andrew b 1838 Washtenaw Co. MI, Chauncey b 1842/43 Livingston Co MI and Edwin (my grandfather) 1848 Montcalm Co. MI. I have never be able to find anything on Lyman's parents. As far as I know Joseph Curtis isn't in my line. Thanks for asking. vern ----- Original Message ----- From: <bartinsca@aol.com> To: <mishiawa@rootsweb.com> Sent: Monday, November 13, 2006 10:07 PM Subject: Re: [MISHIAWA] Owosso A to Z >I have to ask you about your Curtis family, Vernon.
