Cook's Restaurant was at the corner of 6th and Wadsworth where 6th St made a jog to the west for a few feet before continuing north. There was also a gas station at the corner and Packard's Bar. There was possibly also a barber shop. In later years the second , larger Vescio's Grocery store was also located at the corners, after moving across the street from the original location where Mama and Papa Vescio started at. This was before the grocery chain spread out all over Saginaw and the area around town. For years and years the restaurant served the best hot beef sandwiches and the best fish dinners in Saginaw.
