Thanks Janet and Tim. Have Richard POWERS (b. 1844 Ireland) being the Prop. of the O'Brien Hotel from 1876 through 1880. Prior in 1874 he was living in Carrolton, Saginaw Co., MI as a laborer. He was married to Mary BUTLER September 27, 1870 in Saginaw. By 1889 Richard was living in Upson, Iron/Ashland Co., Wisconsin and as the Prop of the Pioneer House in Wisconsin. He then married in Detroit, Michigan May 1889 to a Margaret Cannan/Canaan that lists his address as Upson, Wisconsin. Mary Butler and Richard POWERS had at least 3 children: William born Oct 25, 1874, Richard born Dec. 8, 1878, and Nellie born April 19, 1881. These three children's birth record are in Saginaw Co. Do know that Nellie died in Cicero, ILL at about age 21 (never married). Think William died at young age as he was not listed in 1880 census with his parents. Don't have any idea what happened to young Richard born 1878 or his mother Mary Butler Powers. Anyone familiar with Butler families in that area? Brenda
