    1. Re: [MISAGINA] GOOD OLE DAYS
    2. Yes, they are correct, the Temple is still there. I play with the Saginaw Eddy Band, which will be celebrating 75 years this summer. Many volunteers have done much work on the theater and restored many things. It is a beautifull place to play. At the Christmas concert we have poinsettias all across the stage and beautiful lighting. It is a free concert and usually a full house. Wonderful. However, with the new people taking over, these wonderful events may be gone. The new owner says he is going to work with the Organ Club and volunteers and keep things going, but it is in doubt. The Eddy Band will not be using the theater this summer as far as we know so far. The city of Saginaw made a huge mistake in not taking the theater over. We had a vote today for millage to keep the civic center going. Many feel if it goes down, the death knoll for Saginaw will ring. Believe me, Saginaw is nothing at all like it used to be. The Jack Rabbit sign was saved due to some great effort by some wonderful people. The Hoyt Library was restored and is gorgeous. Fortunately the Castle post office was saved by the Historical society. Also, one other note. The St John the Baptist Center is in Carrollton. It is right across the street from the elementary school in Carrollton.
