Janet, Is it possible that your father in law is not remembering the cross streets? The was and still is a small white church that stands at the north east corner of Union and Stone Streets. When I was young it was called the Central Church of the Nazarene. I have no idea what the current name is. Also, I tried to locate any church structure at Union and N. Charles in a 1916 Atlas - with no success. Nor do I find it depicted on the 1896 version. I'll keep looking. If he remembers any other details please feel free to contact me. Tim Stark Naples, FL
