Dear Maria, We are still thinking along the same lines. While I have been to the Hoyt, I am planning to drive up to Saginaw on Monday because I've never checked resources at the Court House. (I have a Gonyea death certificate I want to see.) I've read the 1900 census and he's not in Michigan (you can get that off the shelves at the Library of Michigan in Lansing). Is there anything I can check for you in Saginaw if I go? Pat
Dear Pat: Thank you for the kind offer of help, but I emailed the Hoyt with a bunch of questions and requested that they be given to a professional researcher who is familiar with the Hoyt's holdings. I would rather have one of the librarians do the research, but it is not their job to do the fact-finding for my genealogical search. I wish you the best of luck in finding documents at the court house. Maria [email protected] wrote: > > Dear Maria, > We are still thinking along the same lines.
