The Bohemian Hall was on the SW corner of 12th and Wadsworth. It burned to the ground in the 1960s. I still haven't gotten to the library to look up the actual date. I know it was before 1965 as we moved from the neighborhood then. I watched it burn. It was only a block and a half from our house. We attended many weddings there. It was quite a spectacular fire. I'm the one trying to collect oral history on this and find and early photo. I have confirmed that a tavern was opened at the same address by my ancestor, Joesph Sklapsky, and his partner later killed himself. In the 1940's a Czech Society reapplies for a liquor license at that address and then I've been informed here of the fire. (Which put paid to my feeble hope of archival records being in the hands of the current owners) If anyone has anything on it or comments about it, remember me! There's a pic of Joe Sklapsky at my currently out of date site. Liz The Saginaw Symons
