    3. I believe the Franklin has been torn down. The Temple is still there, but struggling under various owners since the original ownership by the W.S. Butterfield chain, including a recent sale, I believe. The Temple has developed a kind of "niche" audience by showing highly-rated films that the new multiplex theatres would not. It also has shown classic silent movies accompanied by the original Barton pipe organ installed there in 1928, which is maintained by a group of theatre organ enthusiasts, and sounding quite good when I recorded it last year. The Temple also is a venue for various stage events. Let's hope that it survives.
