Dear Jo: It was Lansing, Mi who wrote back to tell me the death was not recorded. Does the Hoyt Library have access to death records? Do I need to write directly to the Saginaw Courthouse to get the record? Sincerely, Bonnie
Yes they do. I don't have the email address for them at the Hoyt Library - they do have one and will write you back if you enclose your email address to any correspondence to them. I don't think they would appreciate someone giving it out and they are bombarded with requests. They don't publish the email address on their web site. I would copy any documents you have regarding the dates and send it off again along with your email address to the Hoyt Library. They are really great about helping out. Again, they would have a death index - but you won't receive a death certificate. You might try the Mi State again, and also enclose copies of your data. Sometimes its just who is doing the research and they don't take the time to really dig or the document has been misplaced (filed into another year) and they don't bother looking. Since you have your written data-they should recheck and charge you zip. Jo [email protected] wrote: > Dear Jo: > > It was Lansing, Mi who wrote back to tell me the death was not recorded.
