I am desperately looking for the parentage of Samuel Sherburne born 13 Sept, 1800 in He married Philinda GEORGE in Walden, VT in 1826. His first son is named George SIMON Sherburne. George and his family settled in Clinton County, Michigan. Samuel came into Michigan in the 1830s and died in Detroit in 1846. His son John came into Brady Township, Saginaw County, It was there that John and his wife Jemima Waite raised their children. I have searched for years to find a parent for Samuel Sherburne, father of this family, born 1800, supposedly in Vermont. Linda Hackney, a descendant of George Simon Sherburne, and myself would love to hear from another descendant that perhaps can help us.
