Does someone have access to the actual marriages books and death books, or microfilm of such, of Saginaw county? I paid for a certified copy of the death record for my husband's g=grandfather, Joseph Nelson Current, years ago, and it was really different than the information I had from the family. Much later I was given a copy of the actual certificate from a family member, and the information on this was entirely different than that on the certified record the county gave me. They must have gone to the microfilm, and their eyes skipped a line when going across the page. What I am wanting for both his marriage and death is a photocopy from the microfilm reader of the actual record in the book. I think it may reveal some information I don't have right now. Marilyn: Hoyt Library is a great place for help too. I know what you mean about actual copies. The only place you might find one, actual copy is the Mortuary or Chruch that was connected to your ancestor. I've contacted both in the Sagianw area and have had good luck - a church needs a donation to help with the expense of the research - so far mortuary's do it for zip.
