Elizabeth, Yes, I remember the Strand. My Mother's favorite place was Doyle's Hamburgs next to the bridge and the Saginaw River. They were the messiest things to eat, but, oh, how we loved them. And of course Tony's steak sandwiches were one of our favorites, too. But it was not a thing to eat if it was your first date with a new boyfriend. And, during those hot summer months, we would sometimes drive up to Bay City and eat at White's drive-in. Weren't those just the greatest days? Patricia
