Newly uploaded to the Saginaw MIGenWeb site: 1913 Aurora Year Book - Juniors and Seniors thanks to Lynn (SaginawSue) Also started the school census for Richland Twp. District No. 4 and the first 400 listings are online. The cenuses for this township are at CMU's Clarke Historical Archives in Mt. Pleasant. They start in 1869 and go to 1900. The supervisor's book also contains teacher contracts for the time period which will be done afterwards. The 400 listings are just four years of the census so far. If anyone lives in the Mt. Pleasant area and wants to help we could meet once weekly there. They also have a couple of other Saginaw school items to work on. Jonesfield Twp. records are also there in the supervisor's book, along with a book that contains photos of classes from 1893 that was done for the World's Fair. The World's Fair entry contains the following schools- Houghton, Emerson, Salina, Crary, Potter, Central, Germania, Jones, Hoyt, and Sweet. Also the High School (description does not list which, but I suspect Eastern or what is now Saginaw High School). The archivist okayed the use of a digital camera for these if needed as opposed to photocopy to get good copies of the photos.
