I am not sure what you mean by the term "nunnery". Most Catholic churches had convents that housed the sisters who served that parish. If you are looking for Arenac and Iosco convents, you might try the following: Holy Family Catholic Church, 403 Wilkinson Street, East Tawas, MI (St. Joseph's Hospital is also located in Tawas); Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 5300 North U.S. Highway 23, Oscoda, MI 48750; and for Arenac: Resurrection of the Lord Catholic Church, 423 West Cedar Street, Standish, MI 48658. It would all depend upon the Order to which the sisters belonged and where their Mother House might be that would probably have the records you need.
