I have been putting the photos taken at many different cemeteries on a website for everyone to view. I was hoping to have them all on the site before announcing the site. But, it will take many more hours...days...weeks....even months to hyperlink them all for you to view. So in the meantime you can go to the site. There will be many changes and updates. There were about 1 1/2 dozen cemeteries completely photographed this summer. I have 2 1/2 on the site for you to view. As I get the others done I will announce the updates here on the list. I have decided to include photos of Saginaw Co. Churches and a Veterans section. I will link the veteran headstones to the veterans page. I will also include any information or photos of Saginaw Co. Veterans. (All Wars) If you have any pictures of Churches or Veterans you would like to add please send them to me to be added to the site. I am hoping when the cemetery photo project is completed we will have a good list of Saginaw Co. Veterans and where they are buried. I would gradually like to add the history of each Saginaw Co. Church. If anyone would like to do research on the history of the churches please let me know. If you have a photo of your church and know its history I would love to add it to the site. Even if you don't know the history. I will also be adding some platt maps to the site in the future. (your contributions here will also be thankfully accepted.) There is alot of work yet to be done and any volunteers to photograph are still needed. With the cold weather coming more time will be spent on the website and less in cemeteries taking photographs until next summer. Please remember I am very new to website creation. A very big THANK YOU to Patricia Hamp for teaching me the basics to get the site online for you to view. Please keep checking back to the site for updates. http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~evansandobertein/saginawcountyphotographs.htm Good Luck Carolyn Obertein --------------------------------- Do you Yahoo!? I'm looking up the census for 1920 and need to know which ward to look in for the address: 2025 Williamson. I know there is a website that does the wards for 1930 - is there also one for 1920? Nancy
Nancy, the wards probably didn't change that much in ten years, I'd look at what the site for 1930 says and start there. Thanks - I tried that, but it didn't work. It was Ward 12 in 1930, but for 1920 ancestry.com does not have a ward 12 for Saginaw - only 1 through 9.
