    1. Re: [MISAGINA] Poor Farm
    2. When I went to Michigan I was directed to the large rooming house across from the hospital in Saginaw on Hospital Road. I researched some records and found that one of our ancestors died there after losing everything he had. That was 1947. The place had been remodeled in the 1950s and is a combination colonial revival and French nuance (whatever the heck that means). That house was surrounded by a farm of mors that 320 acres until the land was slowly subdivided and progress followed. If you go to the 1880 Saginaw County census there are columns of "Poor Farm" residents listed somewhere. The 1900 census may have an index to shorten your search. Plan-B might be to contact Susan Warner, a premier genealogist and trainer of those less informed, residing in Saginaw. If anyone can find your people she can! Best wishes for a successful search.
