Thank you for the great response. What I have done is listed the cemetery as "Lawndale/United Methodist Cemetery" This way if anyone is looking for a surname for either of the cemetery names they will hopefully find who they are looking for. Nancy I would love to post the obituaries you have for this cemetery. Wouldn't it be great if we had the obituary for every headstone......HMMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!!!! (Next project??????) Any volunteers?????????? I see you all running away screaming "she's nuts". But I was also told it would be almost impossible to photograph every headstone in every cemetery in Saginaw Co.........This has only been possible with all the great volunteers! I believe the broken link for the above cemetery is fixed now. It worked fine on my computer last night but when I tried it at a computer at work it didn't work. So could someone try it and let me know if it is working ok now? Pine Grove in Albee twp has been photographed and I am working on linking the photos for the site so hopefully by this weekend we'll have another cemetery done. Thank you Carolyn Nancy Benavides <nkbenavides@hotmail.com> wrote: I think some may have missed the e-mails I was referring to. The nice people doing the posting of the photos for the cemeteries labeled one as "Bremer" because they didn't find a name at the sight http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~evansandobertein/photographs/ someone replied to that with the name you get from the http://www.mifamilyhistory.org/saginaw/kochville/default.asp#cems However, I have at least 10 obits from the Saginaw News dating from the 1930's including the latest which was 1999 - in which is stated the cemetery is "Lawndale Cemetery". Anyone having an obit from the newspaper would have no idea that it known by another name. If you wanted to find a grave from "Lawndale Cemetery" and there are 47 people listed on the Saginaw Library Obit index as having been buried there the earliest of which is 1901 - which are the exact graves shown in the photos. I have no problem with anyone labeling it anything - but if anyone is looking for a grave for someone whose obit lists them as being buried in "Lawndale Cemetery" or "Lawndale Evangelical Cemetery" you now know you should look at the property on the corner of Kochville and Lawndale. I know it took me a long time to find where it was because it isn't listed anywhere except obituaries with that name. If this saves one person some time and frustration I have accomplished my goal of helping out ;-) Nancy ----- Original Message ----- From: "Patrick Bohinski" To: Sent: Monday, June 16, 2003 10:45 AM Subject: Re: [MISAGINA] Lawndale Cemetery > The cemetery in question was located at Lawndale and Kochville roads, > according to the Saginaw county official list of cemeteries it is the > United Methodist Cemetery, there is also a Kochville Methodist Cemetery > that is located at Kochville and Bay road, about 4 or 5 miles east of > this site. When I was at Roselawn, they were very helpful in finding my grandparents. Their card file contains the obits pasted onto the information. I was very impressed. If you could scan those with the pictures? Did the Boy Scouts finish taking pictures of Roselawn? -----Original Message----- From: Carolyn Obertein [mailto:carolinsaginaw@prodigy.net] Sent: Monday, June 16, 2003 10:05 PM To: MISAGINA-L@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [MISAGINA] Lawndale Cemetery - clearing up the confusion?
