    3. One more idea -- it's be great to have an online transcript of Chapman's 1881 "History of Saginaw County, Michigan." Since I'm not near Saginaw, I can't help but so much, but I do have a chunk of photocopied pages from the Chapman book and could volunteer as a transcriber. Better yet, perhaps one of our listers has access to OCR software that could scan the pages and create a searchable index. If we could get the text online, it'd be great to then annotate them with folks' corrections and additions. Mary Richardson

It's the Brady Hill Cemetery somewhere in Saginaw according to the information I have and they are all in Block 1, Lot 12. According to information I have been able to obtain so far my belief is that Peter W. Kinney was a man of considerable means at one stage of his life and I believe he was the purchaser of this family plot. I know who all of the following people are, but I am missing the burial places of several members of this family and don't know if they are in the other spaces in Lot 12 or not. Peter's probate records indicate that perpetual care was paid for at the time of his own burial in 1911, but I wouldn't have a clue how long that continues. I'd appreciate anything you can do on this one...or maybe explain if it can't be done for some reason. This is a wonderful project and I keep on checking, just in case it gets done. For instance, I found the parcel that my ggg-uncle purchased in 1859. He died in the Civil War, so I didn't expect to find his name on the 1877 plat map. But what I did find intrigued me -- his land had been acquired by his sister-in-law's brother, so it was still "in the family" if you will. But I don't have my volunteer list anymore if you have volunteered please contact me so I can enter your name and the cemetery you are working on. If anyone else would like to volunteer please let me know. You don't have to do a whole cemetery. If you just want to do a few or a section that will work also. As you will see there are many many cemeteries to be done yet. If you know of a cemetery big or small that is not on the list please let me know so we can add it. Carolyn

The Saginaw County Clerks office has a site of marriage and death records online from 1995 forward. I found by doing a surname search on the mother or father of the deceased has helped find many relationships I didn't have before. I use this index to help find living people of my ancestors. I contact them and they are a wealth of information I didn't have before. 3. There is a small cemetery on Midland Rd. across from Imerman park. I know it has a name but it escapes right now. There are also a couple places on Midland Rd. south of State where people are buried along the Tittabawassee river. On N. River rd. north of Tittabawassee road there is an A-frame home that has an early grave almost right next to the house. The home was owned by Richard Forsythe(the architect who designed the hotel across from the Event Center and the former Douglas MacArthur High School) but I've heard he is now a resident of St. Francis nursing home. maybe the new homeowner would allow you to photograph it. At one time there was another grave site there but it was washed away by the Tittabawassee river. There you now have a couple of hours of COLD COLD work for Saturday or Sunday!
