The 1938 S-I-S Boom (South Intermediate School) yearbook has been added to the site. I am in the process of transcribing this book. You can view the scanned images of this book. There were 2 pages of autographs by students. You may want to look at these pages if you had someone attending the school at this time. Also, added today was the Zilwaukee St. Mathew Catholic Church 100th Anniversary Book. You can view scanns of the entire book. This book not only tells of the history of the church but of the Village of Zilwaukee and it's people from the 1860s to the building of the present church. Poll list for Zilwaukee have also been added today. Do you have any books you would allow me to scann? St. Mathew Church 100th anniversary book has been scanned and put on the site. You can view the actual pages of the book. This book not only tells the history of the church but the history of the town of Zilwaukee. It tells of many of the first church members. The history covers from the 1860s to the building of the present church. You can acess this by entering the township of Zilwaukee or from "Church Histories" on the main page. More polls have also been added to the township of Zilwaukee. Do you have a book on the history of a Saginaw Co. Church to add to the site? Sorry Mary and Nancy. It was Nancy Rivers that sent the Taymouth and Cook maps for the site. A REAL BIG THANK YOU! My brain is on the blink again. I have scanned the township books at Zilwaukee Township. These books list the Poll list for the township from it's beginning in 1855. I will be transcribing these records and adding them to the site along with a scan of the page. There is about 30-40 years worth of records. If you had ancestors that resided in Zilwaukee Twp or Buena Vista you may find your ancestors here. Keep checking back as these will be updated as they are transcribed. You will need to click on Zilwaukee to access these records. I have also added a "Cemetery Map Section". Gradually all the cemetery maps will be listed here. I have added Taymouth Twp. Cemetery Map as one of the maps. Thanks to Mary Richardson for this map it list the burials. I have added all the cemeteries that were photographed last summer to the site and waiting for sunny skys and warmer weather to continue. In the meantime I will try to add as much information to the site as possible to help in your Saginaw County ancestor search. I will be adding more photos of churches in Saginaw County. If you have any church photos please send them to me to be added to the site. It sure will help save freezing my toes off. If you would like to volunteer to photograph some churches in your neighborhood my cold toes and nose would appreciate it. If you have a church you would like photographed please let me know and one of our volunteers will try to get it for you. Carolyn
The new coding is done for the obituaries, biographies and old news articles on the Saginaw MIGenWeb site! All the obituaries that have been submitted in the past are in the database with new ones added. There are 156 obits presently. If you submitted any in the past please e-mail me as a lot of the e-mails addresses were old and probably not working and you need your information to go in and change it. http://www.mifamilyhistory.org/saginaw/obits/forum/default.asp If you have something to post, you can go in create and account and then post your obit., biography or old news article. You have to register to post, so you can keep your contact information up to date in the future. Anything that you post will become viewable almost immediatley after you hit the button. The posts are searchable and is advised to catch the names you are searching. Please do not post current news articles on the board as they are copyrighted (1923 is the cut off) by the news papers as opposed to the obituaries which are usually copyrighted by the family or funeral home. The same holds for biographies. If they are in a book that is pre1924 they are considered free domain. Thanks to everyone who sent me their suggestions. Ancestry.com does not have the image - for the record it was ED 193 (Saginaw City, ward 12). They are missing one image (number 17) which is the image I need. I figured it out by looking at the next image (18) and at the top is one child and a sister-in-law that I was looking for. Nancy Rivers
It's the current address as of 1920. Nancy, I would look at ED 152 which has 24 pages of census data. It contains the portions of Bridgeport Twp. nearest to the corporate border of Saginaw City. Is the address you are talking about the address in 1920 or the current address (because street numbers changed between then and now.) Mary Sue
That's true, but in the census it is still filed under Saginaw and not Bridgeport. Thanks, Nancy Subject: [MISAGINA] Re: MISAGINA-D Digest V03 #20 The address on Williamson that you are looking for is in Bridgeport Township and not actually the City of Saginaw. But it does have a Saginaw mailing address. Karen

Mary Sue Thanks - I did that but the index on Ancestry.com is not complete and the person I am looking for does not show up in the index. I know he is on the census because I found it in the library, but I couldn't make a copy of it then and I need to look at the census record again. Nancy
