I dont recall exactly what I posted last fall, but I have some information that may help you. At the Herrick Public Library in Holland, there is a card file for Holland City deaths, and I found Simon David Alverson therein (Im a lawyer so please excuse the legalese). His father was given as Alvin Alverson, b. NY, and his mother as Marie Van Brocklin, b. Netherlands. Simon, his wife Frances, and Rev. A.A. Alverson are all buried in Pilgrim Home Cemetery. They are in different plots, which does suggest that Frances remarried, but I found her listed as Alverson. Also buried there is Mrs. A. A. Alverson, d. 1920, and A.A. Alverson, infant, d. 1892. The cemetery book and another of tombstone inscriptions are both at Herrick. Rev. A.A.s dates were listed as 1848-1923, and Rev. S.D.s dates as 1862-1931. The death record on Simon lists his occupation as prison evangelist. This makes me speculate that Simon met Frances at the state prison where her grandfather was incarcerated. I have information on the trial of her grandfather, John, and her father, Melvin. Im still in the process of confirming links through another of Melvins children. Your mothers siblings, at least those that survived her, would likely be listed in her obituary. Do you still live in the Holland area? By the way, what is your fathers full name? I have added you and your siblings to my genealogy program and hope I can get more details in the future. Good luck and kee in touch! Stephanie Martineau
