Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/CIB.2ACI/1216.1 Message Board Post: I don't know if this is the right message board but I was told (and have in my family history info) that my g-g-grandfather, Edward Andrew Jackson {b. 7/4/1834 in New York but lived in Blenheim, Ontario, Canada for a time before moving to Detroit Michigan} fought in the Civil War with the Michigan Sharpshooters, a group made up of mostly Indians (Native Americans to be correct) I have in my notes that it was difficult to find the tribe...records were not kept. I wondered in the book that you refered to....does it mention any other names of the members of the Michigan Sharpshooters? I know I am grasping at straws but what the heck it's a long shot....thank you for your time.
