Dennis, Thanks for the response. I had this really messed up. If Silvia was b. in 1834, then she couldn't have married the Edward Davenport that I thought she did. The Edward I'm interested in was b. in 1866, son of Rufus who was b. in 1829. Maybe Rufus had a brother named Edward. And, your William Patterson must be much older than the William Patterson I'm interested in, the son of Rufus. What had arroused my attention was that both William Pattersons had a close association to a Firster, which is my interest. Thanks for the help in straightening this out.
