Bon has been an occupant of the house for a number of years and a sufferer from paralysis. He has been very low for some time and his death was not unexpected. Capt Louis Bon was born in Ohio about 73 years ago. and at the time of the Civil War he was near Manitowoc Wis. He enlisted and served in a Wisconsin regiment during the war. After the war he was engaged in tugging on the river. He was captain of many well known river tugs among them the "McCormick". After his retirement from sailing he was appointed to his last position in government light and fog houses. While in active service he suffered a bad fall on the pier which resulted in paralysis. He entered the Soldier's Home where he has suffered terribly during his last illness. Mrs. Bon was with him during the final moments of his illness and she with five children survive him. Capt.
