Am researching my husband's DePuit family, and they too arrived in Zeeland in 1847, but I believe settled in Beaver Dam. I would be interested to know if Adriaan DePuit's wife Wilhelmia de Jonge (b. Nov. 1811 in Oudelande, Zeeland) is in the De Jonge family register, as I believe there is a definite connection. Adriaan & Wilhelmia were married in Zeeland, Netherlands before coming to the USA aboard the "Kroonprinz von Hanover" with 3 children.... Michael, Jean/John, and Agatha.
