I am a ggggranddaughter of Robert and Eleanor Huff Gibbs through their son Charles Tomlinson Gibbs and Hannah Walsh, through their daughter Margaret Sarah Gibbs and Richard Connell and through their daughter Mary Connell and James Barlow. I am searching for information on the children of Joseph and Mary Pennoyer Gibbs and to date have not found anything. Did Mary Gibbs and Franklin Jones have just one child, a daughter, Macy Jones born June 12, 1864 and married to Edward Ives? This is an obt. for Robert Gibbs from The Fredonia Advertiser on Friday, August 01, 1862: "Died in the town(Pomfret), on 21 July 1862 at the home of his son-in-law, (Mr. Willard Blodgett) Robert Gibbs, in his 79th year. Mr. Gibbs was a native of England and emigrated to this country in 1802." I also have quite a lot of information on Robert and Eleanor's daughter Rebecca Gibbs born December 11, 1812. if you are interested in it e-mail me directly and I can get it to you.
