Lewis Bruiscahrt, 62, of 476 N. 168th Ave., died Saturday, July 25, while vacationing at Baldwin. Born in Holland, he attended Holland High School. He was a Disabled Veteran, having served with the U.S. Army during World War II> He was a lifetime member of Disabled American Veterans Chapter 14 and a lifetime member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2144. He was employed as a brick layer for Elzinga & Volkers Co. until his retirement due to illness. Survingin are his wife, Ella; two sons, Lewis Bruischart Jr. of Holland and David Bruischart of Burr Oaks; two daughters, Sandra Foote of Plainwell and Judith Sigsbee of Kalamazoo; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Ted (Nellie) Turic of Holland; a stepson, Ivan Ten Brink of Holland; 14 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; his stepmother, Mrs. Rena Bruischart of Holland; three sisters, Mrs. Jack (Lucille) Wymer and Mrs. Ed (Annabelle) De Witt of Holland and Mrs. Harvey (Goldie) Driesenga of Zeeland; a stepbrother, Alvin Van Dyke of Hudso! nville; and nieces, nephews and cousins. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Dykstra Northwood Chapel, 295 Douglas Ave., with Pastor Tom Early officiating. Burial will be in the veterans section of Pilgrim Home Cemetery, with rites by the VFW. Calling hours are 7 to 9 this evening at the Northwood Chapel. Memorials may be given to the Emphysema Society.
