Seeking information on JOHN T. TEN HOVER, his wife JOHANNA and their children: Richard (b. 1880), William (b. 1882), Dena (b. 1894), Jennie (b. 1896), Johanna (b. 1898). In the 1900 census they are listed as living in Olive Township. The TEN HOVERS came to Holland, Michigan in 1880 from the Netherlands and brought their parents with them. I would be grateful for any information about the TEN HOVER family, the history of Olive Township and/or Ottawa County. Are there other researchers trying to find their Dutch Roots transplanted to Holland, Michigan. I'd like to hear any suggestions you have for breaking through the brick wall.

Dear Peggy, Thank you for your suggestion. I've been unable to get a response from the Herrick Lilbrary's e-mail address (are they still there?). But I'll try the other source you suggested. Thanks again. Let me know if you don't hear anything in a couple of weeks. I am very busy this summer but if they don't respond I will see what I can do. Peggy
