STYGSTRA - Grand Haven (special), Funeral services for Jasper James STYGSTRA, Sr. 54, will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Van Zantwick funeral chapel with the Rev. Garret Menning offiicating. Burial will be at Lake Forest cemetery, with military rites by the VFW. Mr. STYGSTRA died of a heart attack at 1 a.m. Saturday at his home, route 2, Grand Haven township. He was born in Holland May 13, 1898, and had lived in the Grand Haven area since 1941. He was married in Holland to Laura DETERS on Sept. 30, 1920. He attended Hope Reformed church in Grand Haven township. He served in the navy during World War I. Mr. STYGSTRA had been ill with a heart condition for 1-1/2 years and because of his health had retired in June from Keller Tool Co., where he was employed three years. He previously had been a farmer. Surviving are the wife; a son, Jasper Jr. of Grand Haven township; seven daughters, Mrs. Vincent HARDY and Mrs. Gerrit VAN DER HEIDE o! f Holland, Mrs. Bonnie MELCHER of Grand Haven, Mrs. Richard BRADLEY of Spring Lake and Harriet, Dorothy and Sally, at home, three sisters, Mrs. Bert WESTERHOF, Mrs. George PALMER and Mrs. Charles STEGENGA, and four brothers, Peter, John, Richard and Raymond, all of Holland.
