According to the census of 1870 the family live in Grand Haven. The family existed in 1870 of father Doeke Dykhuizen (born in 1818), mother Trientje (Kort) Dkhuizen (born in 1816) and their children; son Menko (born in 1840) with his wife and children, daughter Trientje (born in 1851), and sons Jan (1857) and Albert (1861). Who has more information about this family ??? I'm especcially interested in the dates and places of death of Doeke and Trientje. Probably Trientje Kort died before 1871 because a man named Doeke Dykhuizen marries in 1871 in Ottawa to Geertje Dykstra. Probably is this the same Doeke Dykhuizen as I mention, but I'm not sure.
