Ardis, There is much information available on the Deters anscestry from Frank Laurens at http://www.gironet.nl/home/lpck/Engels/index.htm In addition to his website, he recently published an excellent book on the Deters family entitled "My Name Is Deters, Kleine-Deters." It is available in both Dutch and English. I believe you have correctly identified Jan Herm Deters and Janna Kamps as the ancestral parents, and from the Frank Laurens works you will be able to trace the lineage several generations farther back.
