But don't know much about him. We have found a Obbe Jan Renken came to New York port on Aug. 24, 1848 from Rotterdam Port on Emblem and to Ottawa Co. Mi. About 1856 he married Trientje DeWit Folkers (later called Folgers) She had 2 sons and together they had 5 children one being Alberts Grandmother. They moved to Kansas in 1871. Where they lived the remainder of their lives. He was always called John Renken probably born 1818. Do you have any additional information on this family?
