If you happen to check back, please contact me. I am a grand niece of Fran. I have tons of information and a large Sas / Evink family genealogy. Quickly,...Esther Sas married John VanderMeulen and had two sons,..Lester & Johnny. John died, and Esther then married Koert Evink,..with whom she had Fran and Anna (my Grandmother). Shortly after Anna's birth, Esther died leaving the four children. What became of Koert is a mystery. But the children were separated. Anna and Lester went to live with Esther's brother, John W. Sas. Johnny went to live with Gerrit VanderMeulen, a relative of his father. And lastly, Fran went to live with her Grandfather, John F.C.W. Sas.
