I believe she died in Nunica as my grandmother had told me that they lived there. Mary married 9 Aug. 1863, Ottawa Co. to Franklin "Frank" Jones, son of Jonathan Jones and Rebecca Unknown. Frank was born 1841, Rose Twp. Oakland Co., MI and died 28 Jan. 1928, Ottawa Co.(Nunica?) . Yes, my gg grandmother is their only child. Her name was Macy Miases Jones born 12 June 1864 in Coopersville and died 12 February 1934, Coopersville, according to my grandmother. The person who transcribed from the Grand Rapids Herald has the 14 of Feb. I don't know yet which is correct. We had never heard of Macy's middle name-this is what the person who transcribed the headstones from the Coopersville Cem. had written. Now, I'm wondering where that name came from? I've not run across that name before. Anyways, she married Edward "Eddie" W. Ives in June 1883, Coopersville. He was the son of Chauncey Ives and Mary A. Unknown. Eddie was born abt. 1862/3, NY and died 23 Dec. 1948, Coopersville. Mary, Frank, and Macy are buried in same plot, Sect. 14, Coopersville Cem. I have pictures of them if your interested.

Bob Connell has given me the same information. He is a very well informed Gibbs researcher. I am a ggggranddaughter of Robert and Eleanor Huff Gibbs through their son Charles Tomlinson Gibbs and Hannah Walsh, through their daughter Margaret Sarah Gibbs and Richard Connell and through their daughter Mary Connell and James Barlow. I am searching for information on the children of Joseph and Mary Pennoyer Gibbs and to date have not found anything. Did Mary Gibbs and Franklin Jones have just one child, a daughter, Macy Jones born June 12, 1864 and married to Edward Ives? This is an obt. for Robert Gibbs from The Fredonia Advertiser on Friday, August 01, 1862: "Died in the town(Pomfret), on 21 July 1862 at the home of his son-in-law, (Mr. Willard Blodgett) Robert Gibbs, in his 79th year. Mr. Gibbs was a native of England and emigrated to this country in 1802." I also have quite a lot of information on Robert and Eleanor's daughter Rebecca Gibbs born December 11, 1812. if you are interested in it e-mail me directly and I can get it to you. My aim is to find more on Eleanor Huff. It was wonderful to hear from another member of the Gibbs clan! Barbara

    2. Hi, I have an Edith Ruth Westover, born 1913 in Muskegon, Michigan; later she married to a Harry Fred Willer, Jr. Her father, Jonathan Gleason Westover, Jr., died in Coopersville, and is buried in Nunica, MI. She was my first cousin, twice removed, so she is not a close relative. However, I am in contact with her niece, Blanche Westover Dykehouse, of Fruitport, MI, and have forwarded your email to her. I would love to have a photocopy or scanned copy of her picture for my records, if you are interested and able. The Westovers and the Viebrocks are connected in my tree, most of them living in the Nunica, Ottawa Co., area. I do not know who Mary Viebrock was, but again, have contacted Blanche as most likely she will know. Thank you for posting your message! Kathy (Shaver) Fisher bkssfish@aol.com
