Looking for child, born 1934/5, in or near, Spring Lake, Ottawa County, Michigan. Mother's maiden name, BIGELOW, age 15/16? Father Unk. Mother spent sophomore year of high school living away from her family in Grand Rapids, MI. She lived with her maternal grandparents. Mother is elderly, 85 and recently speaking of things she's been through, and children "have no idea" of her experiences. While recently hospitalized, she spoke of giving birth and of being told the child was cute and she wasn't allowed to see it. She also spoke of being held at a house, and not being allow out or allowed visitors. Her adult children are wondering now if there was a child given up for adoption, prior to her marriage. My little bit of research is that Klaas immigrated to the U.S arriving on 12/19/1846. They came from Friesland, Netherlands and eventually settled in Vriesland, Ottowa, Michigan. Some of my relatives recollections are that they were told that both he & Jeltje died in approximately 1869 or 1870
