    1. Re: [MIOTTAWA-L] Boston Photo Co.
    2. Jane and Tom
    3. Shelly, I have recently made contact with a BRODERICK cousin who has shared photographs taken of our family by the "Boston Photo Company", Holland, Michigan. The photographs were taken in the 1890's. I realized that a little water has gone under the bridge since then, but I was hoping that someone had some information about the company. My ggrandfather, Marcus BRODERICK, was in Hudsonville and Holland for sure between 1886-1893. A daughter, Mary (b.1873), married Bert OLIN and a son, Marcus, Jr. (b.1868), married Anna JOSCELYN. I believe Marcus, Sr. died in Ottawa County about 1891-2. His widow, Aurelia (Armitage) BRODERICK, moved the family to Kenosha, WI, about 1893-5. Any information on these families, BRODERICK, JOSCELYN, and OLIN, would be greatly appreciated. 3. C & D Anderson, Yes, I do believe Herrick Library has the Holland City News on microfilm. Although I have never tried to access it, I am certain they have most all issues filmed and are probably indexed. The Holland City News had a limited publication in terms of years and I do not recall if it was a weekly or daily paper. -- Shalom in Messiah Yeshua/Jesus, Shelly Low Arnold Holland, MI, USA Researching: ARNOLD, ATWELL, BENNETT, DEWAR, EAS(s)ON, ELDER, GROENMIEJER, LAPO, LOW, NEISH, NETHAWAY, OVERKAMP, PACKER, PLUISTER, ROSENBERG/ROSENBERGER, SCOTT, SOULE, WILCOX (& all early spellings), WHITTEMORE and looking for a connection of ELDER, SCOTT &/or LOW with DUNCAN.

    3. Does anyone on the list know if the Herrick Library has the Holland City News on microfilm or if some other source may have same. Have found a reference in USGenWeb Archives for an obit for an "Eva Swanson" in the 9/21/1911 issue. This may be the same Eva Swanson who was my gr gr grandmother and a resident of Holland TWP, Ottawa Co. in 1880, living with her daughter and husband, Hans & Emma Anderson. I have been unable to determine her death and it is known that she did not migrate to Montana in 1895 with the Anderson family. No records exist in our family history about this ancestor. 2. Terri Rene DaVar-Howard
    3. My apologies for sending this message to the entire list. My computer has crashed and continues to crash, so all of my e-mail has vanished into nothingness. This includes ALL addresses and ALL messages saved for the past 5 years. Some can be slowly reconstructed, but if I have committed to sending something to you or haven't yet thanked you for a recent communication (within the past 2 months) then please be aware that I have no way of doing so ... Between surgery, work, family & this computer crash I'm swamped -- please be patient! And if we have corresponded in the past, should you want to correspond again, please send your e-mail address to me at BOTH <[email protected]> & <[email protected]>. Again, my apologies for sending this to the list. Terri Rene DaVar-Howard ===== Brian, Terri Rene, Michael & Matthew ... 3. There is a link on the Ottawa County page to the "Ottawa County Township Index for Adult Heads of House 1892-3". Can someone tell me if this is a different census from the 1894 State Census that recorded 'Individual and Agricultural' censuses. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Tom Sisolak Fort Worth, TX
