I know one of the girls married a HALLAM and lived in Kalamazoo. The other married a BOERSMA and lived in Florida. I do not have any information regarding MAARTEN at all. I also do not know if any other children were born to this couple. My Great Grandfather, Huip (HUIBERT) lived and died in Holland Michigan and married Ruth Tibbe. Any information that anyone can give me regarding this family would be very much appreciated. Thank you, Sharon Preising P.S. Which is probably the same as Yske. The anglicized meaning of the name Ysche appears to be Annie. Have you tried searching for your ancestor under the name Annie? I have found that many many of my own ancestors the name was changed to an "American" version of the original name. In other words names like Yzaak became Isaac, Kaatje became Katherine or Katie etc. etc. Hope this helps. Regards, Peggy

    3. Posted on: Ottawa Co., Michigan Query Forum Reply Here: http://genconnect.rootsweb.com/genbbs.cgi/USA/Mi/Ottawa/679 Surname: ZIEGLER ------------------------- Christian Ziegler (German immigrant) moved his family to Coopersville in approx 1883-4, wife Mary, son William born in 1784 and Bertha born in 1887 for approx. one year. Previously they lived in Parma NY, to Kearney NE,then to Coopersville. Christian had a trade of grafting trees and lived in other areas rich in fruit trees. Due to early deaths of children and fires destroying records research is slow going. I'm looking for any info they were there---in schools, churches, at orchards. He moved from there to LeRoy MI and became a farmer. He could have worked for a farm there.

    3. Hi, Well, I used to attend the Tallmadge Wesleyan Church - and it is located across from the Tallmadge Township offices. So I am assuming that is Tallmadge Township........ Look for Grand Rapids in Kent Co. on your map. Now go west to the town of Standale. You will see a street named Wilson running north from Standale to Leonard Street. Go west on Leonard. The Tallmadge Township Offices are at O-1451 Leonard. (the "O" is for Ottawa Co.) Their phone number, in case you might want it, is 616-677-1248. Good luck! <}:o) Elline ----- Original Message ----- From: Mary Anne Baker To: [email protected] Sent: Tuesday, August 01, 2000 11:45 AM Subject: [MIOTTAWA-L] Tallmadge Township Hello, all.
